Label activity & history

On this page

When to use this: "did anyone print labels for that batch?" and "print that same job again".

Steps

  1. Labels → Activity — one destination with two tabs: Print history (opens by default) and Barcodes.

  2. Print history — the Print History table: Printed at, Template, Records, Labels, Output, Status and Printed by. Narrow it with the Template name or id search or the Status filter — Output is shown but locked, since there's only one output type today (browser print).

  3. Reprint a past run — in that row's Actions column click Reprint from snapshot. Handy after a printer jam ruined a sheet — it replays the design exactly as it printed, even if the template has since changed.

  4. Barcodes — opens Generated Barcodes, the in-house code registry (→ LBL-05). Both tabs show a summary strip of counts at a glance, and share the same Search barcode box and Export CSV (needs a stricter permission than just viewing the registry).

    • Registry (opens by default) — every code ever generated: Barcode, Type, Mapped item, Last printed, Status, # Prints. Summary strip: Values / Active / Retired / Mapped / Top source. Narrow it with Label type (All / Product / Batch) and Registry status.

    • Events — one row per print/reprint of a code, the audit trail behind the # Prints count: Barcode, Template, Batch run, Output, Status, Printed at. Summary strip: Events / Success / Failed / Top template / Top output. Narrow it with Template id, Batch run id, Event status, or a printed date range — there's no Output filter since there's only one output type today (browser print).

  5. From a Registry rowView detailsReprint to run it again, Retire barcode to take a code out of use, or Open mapped item to jump to the product it belongs to (batch-sourced codes can't jump to their batch yet). From an Events rowView event shows the resolved values and data snapshot behind that one print, with its own Reprint.

Good to know

  • The Barcodes tab only appears if your role may view the generated-barcode registry. Without it, Activity shows Print history alone and no tab bar.
  • All reprint buttons — Print History's row action, and the Registry/Events reprint actions inside the barcode registry — replay the stored snapshot of the original job, so the output matches the first print exactly.
