When to use this guide: For fast shift logins by pharmacists and counter staff using an Employee Code and a 6-digit PIN instead of typing an email address.
3 Easy Steps to Sign In with PIN
Step 1: Enter Your Organization Code
- On the login screen, click Login with Employee Code + PIN.
- Type your pharmacy's Organization Code (for example,
sanjivani-medical).
The counter remembers it, so you normally only do this once per computer. After that it sits at the top of the screen with a Change link beside it.
Step 2: Enter Your Employee Code
- Type your assigned Employee Code (for example,
POOJAorAMIT) and click Next. - BitMed verifies the code and shows your full staff name.
In the picture above, 1 is the pharmacy this counter is set to — click Change only if it is wrong. 2 is your Employee Code and 3 is Next. 4 switches back to Login with Email + Password, which is the owner's way in.
Step 3: Enter Your 6-Digit PIN
- Type your secret 6-Digit PIN.
- As soon as you enter the 6th digit, BitMed logs you in instantly!
In the picture above, 2 is the check that matters: your own name appears before you type the PIN. If it shows somebody else, click Change beside it rather than carrying on — every bill in the shift is stamped with whoever is signed in here. 3 is the six PIN boxes, one digit each.
You will immediately land on the Billing screen. Every bill created during your shift will automatically carry your staff name for full accountability.
Quick Switch User Shortcut (Ctrl + L)
When changing shifts or sharing a billing counter:
- Press Ctrl + L on your keyboard from anywhere in the app.
- A Quick Switch window will pop up over the screen.
- The next staff member enters their 6-digit PIN to switch users instantly without closing open bills!
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I forgot my PIN or Employee Code? Ask your pharmacy owner or manager to check your Employee Code or reset your PIN from Settings → People & Access.
Why does the system ask me to set a new PIN after logging in? If your manager assigned you a temporary PIN, BitMed automatically asks you to set a new personal 6-digit PIN on your very first login for security.
