When to use this guide: From clicking Start Free Trial on the BitMed website, to setting your password, to the initial setup of your store profile, receipts, pharmacists, and products before you start billing.
Step 1: Start Your Free Trial & Set Your Password
- On the BitMed website, click the Start Free Trial button.
- Fill in the sign-up form with your details (name, pharmacy name, email, phone number).
- Check your email inbox — BitMed sends you a password setup link.
- Click the link in the email and choose your password:
- At least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a digit.
- Click Set password and continue.
That's it — your account is created! You can now sign in and BitMed will automatically walk you through the remaining setup steps below.
Step 2: Store Details & Licenses
Fill in your official pharmacy information:
- Store Name & Display Name: Appears on customer invoices.
- Address, City, State & Pincode: BitMed automatically detects your State when you type your 6-digit pincode!
- Drug License Numbers: Lic 1 & Lic 2 (printed on all medical receipts for legal compliance).
- GSTIN: Your 15-digit GST Registration Number.
Click Save & Continue.
Step 3: Invoice & Receipt Setup
Customize your bill printing format:
- Invoice Prefix: The starting letters of your bill numbers (default is
INV). - Receipt Format: Choose between Thermal 80mm (standard receipt roll), Thermal 58mm (small receipt roll), or A4 Sheet.
Click Save & Continue.
Step 4: Register First Pharmacist (Optional)
Create an account for your head pharmacist:
- Full Name
- Pharmacy Registration Number & State
- Employee Code (pcode): Short code used for fast login (e.g.
AMIT). - Initial 6-Digit PIN: Set a starting 6-digit PIN for staff login.

Step 5: Add Initial Products (Optional)
Search our master medicine database to quickly add your most popular medicines to your store catalog.
(Or click Skip — I'll add products later to bulk import your inventory later).
Complete Setup
Click Save Products & Start Billing (or Complete Setup). You will land straight on the Billing screen, ready to serve your first customer!
Frequently Asked Questions
I didn't get the password setup email. What should I do? Check your Spam or Promotions folder. If it's still missing, go back to the BitMed website and click Start Free Trial again with the same email to get a fresh link.
Can I edit these store details later? Yes. You can update your store name, licenses, tax details, invoice formats, or staff accounts at any time from Settings.
