One reference card for the connectivity and sync states. The indicator lives in the status bar along the bottom of the screen, and it is there on every screen in the POS — not only on Billing. That bar is the app's only sync surface, so there is nothing else to cross-check it against.
Click either the state label or the pending count beside it to open Sync Status — the last sync time, how many records are waiting to upload, and, when something needs looking at, the button that fixes that particular problem.

Red is the only state that asks you to act, and Sync Status names which cause it is. There are seven, and they do not share a fix:
- Records the server refused — the dialog offers Review.
- Signed out — it offers Sign in again. Your work stays safe on the device until you do.
- This user can't upload from this terminal — switch users and the queue sends itself.
- Offline storage is unavailable — reload the app; if it persists, bill on another terminal.
- Offline storage is still opening — do not reload; that restarts the same slow open. Wait, and bill online meanwhile.
- The pending count is unavailable — BitMed could not read what this device still needs to upload. Open Sync Status and follow its message; an unknown count does not mean that the queue is empty.
- Sync could not resume — the connection is reachable but uploading has stalled. Open Sync Status and follow its recovery action.
"Pending" is an online state. It means the connection is fine and a few records are still queued. When you are offline the indicator says Offline, and the queue count is shown beside it as N pending sync rather than as its own state.
The pending count is not a bill count. It totals six offline queues — bills, credit notes, day closures, customers, doctors and shortages — so "3 pending" can be one bill and two new customers.
The crossed cloud on the store card is not the sync indicator. It replaces the store-switch arrows to say that switching stores needs a connection. Read sync status from the bottom bar only.
Any state can carry Live stock updates paused as an extra detail. That is the background stock feed, not your bills — billing and syncing are unaffected.
