When to use this: Use this guide to turn on the Labels module, choose your default templates/label size, and set up internal barcode prefixes. Every field here saves the moment you change it — there is no separate Save step.

- Click Settings (gear icon at the bottom of the left sidebar).
- Select Labels & Barcodes.

The two switches at the top (3) are org-wide — their rows carry an Org badge (2) rather than This store (4), so they apply to every branch at once.
- Enable Labels & Barcode Printing: Unlocks the whole Labels module — the template designer, batch printing, and internal barcodes. Off by default.
- Batch-Wise Barcodes (only shown once the above is on): Generates a unique barcode for every batch you receive at GRN post. Scanning that barcode at billing picks that exact batch (its MRP/expiry) instead of BitMed auto-selecting by FEFO.
Once Labels is enabled, these per-store defaults appear — each carries a This store badge (4):
- Default product label template and Default batch label template (5): used when printing a single product's label, and when batch-printing labels straight from a GRN. Both read None until you have designed a template (→ LBL-02).
- Default label size (5): The size pre-selected in the print flow.
- GRN label quantity (6): How many labels to pre-fill when printing from a GRN — One label per product, one per received unit, or ask every time (→ LBL-04).
- Product Barcode Prefix and Batch Barcode Prefix (7): The two digits (00–99) every generated barcode starts with. Defaults are 12 for products and 14 for batches — leave blank to use the default.
- Printer profile (optional) (8): A free-form label to identify which printer this store uses.
Set the templates before you need them. With both template rows on None, the print flow has nothing pre-selected and you pick a template every time.
