When to use this: a proper physical count — record what's really on the shelf, batch by batch, and let BitMed sort out the differences for you.
Steps
-
Start the audit. Go to Inventory → Stock Audit → New Audit. The only thing to fill in is an optional Notes label (like "Monthly audit, Section A") — there are no scope settings to pick, so you just count whichever products you want. You can only have one audit running at a time; if one is already open, BitMed asks you to finish it first and offers to open it.
-
Count and record. In the Count Item row, search for the Product and pick the Batch — the list shows the system quantity (Sys: N) and expiry, so you're not counting blind. Type the Actual Qty you counted and tap Record. Each line drops into the table below.
-
Check the differences. The table shows Expected, Actual and Variance for every line, with a running count of matches and variances at the top.
-
Finish up. Tap Complete & Adjust Stock to update stock so it matches your counts, or Complete (No Adjust) to close the audit without changing anything. Cancel Audit throws it away (your counts are kept for reference) and frees you to start a new one.
Tips
- Count one section at a time — just record those products and complete — instead of the whole store in one go.
- Complete & Adjust Stock fixes every difference together; there's no line-by-line approval, so give the table a look before you finish.
