When to use this guide: For rapid, high-speed OTC (over-the-counter) sales during peak hours—one clean screen, keyboard-driven, cash or UPI, done in seconds!
Steps to Make a Quick Bill
1. Search & Add Medicine
Switch to Quick Bill with Alt + Q (and back to Standard with Alt + S). Both carts are kept, so switching never clears the bill you were on.
Type the medicine name in the search field and press Enter. The item is added immediately
with quantity 1.
The whole sale happens in one column down the right-hand side: 1 is the Quick Bill tab you are in, 2 the Cash / UPI toggle, 3 the Cash Received box, 4 the change to give back, 5 Pay & Print, and 6 New for the next customer.
2. Adjust Quantity (Optional)
If the customer wants more items, type the desired quantity and press Enter.
3. Select Cash or UPI & Pay
Press C for Cash or U for UPI, or click the toggle. F7 jumps straight to the Cash Received box — there is no separate payment window in Quick Bill.
- Cash: Type the cash amount tendered by the customer. The change appears underneath as you type. Press F10 (or Enter) and the bill finalizes and prints instantly.
- UPI: Toggle to UPI, collect payment via QR scanner or app, and press F10 to finalize and print.
The receipt appears the moment the sale completes: 1 is the total, 2 is the Scan to Pay QR printed on the bill itself, 3 records how it was paid, and 4 prints another copy if you need one.
4. Ready for Next Customer
Press F2 to clear everything and start fresh for the next customer!
When NOT to Use Quick Bill Mode
Switch back to Standard POS Mode for the following scenarios:
- Customer credit sales (Khata)
- Any Schedule H, H1 or X medicine — Quick Bill refuses all three schedules, including Schedule H medicines that need linked customer and doctor details
- Processing returns or credit notes
